FREDERICKSBURG LAVENDER TRAIL: Farm to Table

Five Fredericksburg area lavender farms are working together this year to promote the spring-summer lavender season with a special theme, “Farm to Table”, a farm and food celebration destined to become an annual tradition. Several local restaurants developed at least one lavender-flavored selection for their menus, food items that would be carried throughout the mid-May through June "lavender season" for our trail.
Kicking off the season will be the Becker Vineyards Lavender Festival, May 19-20, followed by each of the farms and/or their associated retail lavender shops offering their own series of special events and activities through the end of June.
BECKER VINEYARDS….10 miles east of Fredericksburg, Becker Vineyards is a nationally recognized winery with numerous award winning wines. We invite you to enjoy a glass of wine as you stroll through our 3-acre field of lavender. FREDERICKSBURG LAVENDER FARM & Guesthouse…minutes away from downtown. Our farm is open most weekends during peak season. Antiques and lavender products also available. From downtown Fredericksburg, head west on Main Street (US 290) until you reach the split at the edge of town. US 290 continues to left. Go 1.4 miles. Turn right on 2nd Royal Oaks Loop. HUMMINGBIRD FARMS is located between Fredericksburg and Johnson City. During the blooming season visitors are welcome to watch the summer harvest, the essential oil distillation process, or just enjoy strolling the lavender fields and picking their own fragrant bouquet. Several varieties of lavender are spread over 6 acres, including Lavendula Angustifolia, or “true lavender”, which derives the most highly prized lavender oil. LLL FARMS & TRADING POST, established in 2002, boasts almost 7000 lavender plants with several different lavender varieties. Come experience the sights, smells, and the overall ambiance of our marketplace. The over 150 lavender products range from cottage industry "hand-made" soaps to lavender candles, we have it all. We also sell over 10 varieties of lavender plants. Included in our store are many "hill country" antiques and collectibles, some from the owner's own collection, and, all are reasonably priced.
